quote from Peace with the Earth:

In contrast to today’s ideal: mechanization, specialization, and speed, we are consciously proclaiming the ideals that we believe will be tomorrow’s: self-sufficiency – diversity – patience.

above: this copy of the book was given by Elisabeth Tamm to Honorine Hermelin, and from Honorine Hermelin to Maren Holebakk.

below (from top down):

Five books from Elin Wägner's book collection

Elin Wägner's book collection consists of about 600 volumes and formed a significant part of her library at Lilla Björka in Småland. The selected books relate to the ecofeminist ideas that recur in the book Peace with the Earth and trace mother earth, organic farming, matriarchy, goddesses and early women's history.
